My name is Hannah and I've been writing poetry on Substack for almost a year now. I'm not great at sharing about it, but that's been my goal for this year is to be more bold about my work, especially with other people directly. I write about a lot of aspects of my life--faith, motherhood, writing itself. Right now, I'm working on a project I gave myself to write a poem for every major event in the liturgical calendar.
I have yet to share my poetry on Substack, but it is in the works. It is about faith, life, love, and artistry. I recently finished a project where I converted 7 lyrics into songs, the album to be distributed on music platforms like Spotify. (I used AI music and vocals, but they are my lyrics. I retain th copyright also.) EEK! I’m nervous, but stepping out brave/scared.

I’m so thankful for posts like this and finding other poets. I write poems and short stories about staying connected to our wonder through our Creator and the art of paying attention. It’s brought so much joy and, dare I say wonder, to all the ordinary moments of my life.

Sharing our own work is often the hardest part of the process, but it’s also where the beauty of writing really begins to meet other people.
All of us, me included, need encouragement and support to help us keep showing up and sharing what we create.
